Compare HEXEL Spectrum, Bubblegum and Waterfall by color mood, movement feel and price so you pick the colorway that fits your fidget style and space.
Quick answer
Choose HEXEL Spectrum if you want the widest rainbow range for display and play, Bubblegum if you prefer soft pastel tones with a playful feel, and Waterfall if you want calming blue shades for quiet, flowing motion.
What actually changes between the three colorways
All three HEXEL fidget toys share the same six-piece, elastic-cord construction, so the real differences are color palette, mood and price. Spectrum covers a full rainbow of vibrant colors, Bubblegum leans into soft pastel treats, and Waterfall stays in a blue range from white and pastel blue through turquoise to dark blue. That means your choice is mostly about which palette you want to look at and handle every day, not about different mechanics.
Price is the other concrete difference. At catalog prices, Bubblegum is the lowest at USD 9.89, Waterfall is USD 10.64 and Spectrum is USD 10.94, all against a USD 14.99 comparison price. If you are buying several for a household or classroom, those small gaps add up.
Color mood matters more than you might expect
A fidget toy sits on a desk, in a bag or in your hand, so its palette becomes part of the room. Spectrum's full rainbow reads as energetic and decorative, which suits open shelves or shared play areas. Bubblegum's white, pastel yellow, lilac, pastel pink, mint and dusty rose palette feels softer and more playful, so it blends into pastel-themed rooms. Waterfall's blue range is the calmest of the three and works well where you want a quieter visual anchor.
If you plan to display HEXEL pieces as decorative builds rather than keep them in a drawer, pick the palette that matches the surface it will sit on. A rainbow piece can look busy on a crowded desk; a blue piece can disappear against a blue wall.
Where each colorway fits best
Spectrum is the safest single choice for a gift because it does not commit to one color family. Bubblegum is the better pick when the recipient already likes pastel accessories or you want a lower entry price. Waterfall is the one to choose when the goal is calm movement during focused work or winding down, since its blue palette supports that quieter role.
One limitation to note: the supplied catalog does not list option types for these products, so you cannot assume different sizes or bundles exist within a single colorway. Treat each listing as one colorway and choose accordingly.
Decision rules for picking your HEXEL colorway
- If you want one colorway that works for anyone: Pick HEXEL Spectrum. Its full rainbow range avoids committing to a single color family, so it suits gifts, shared play and mixed-color spaces. Choose Spectrum when you cannot ask the recipient's color preference.
- If you want the lowest entry price: Pick HEXEL Bubblegum at USD 9.89, the lowest catalog price of the three, while still getting the same six-piece HEXEL construction. Buying several? Compare the total against Spectrum and Waterfall before deciding.
- If you want calm, focused movement: Pick HEXEL Waterfall. Its blue-only palette supports a quieter visual and tactile routine for desk work or winding down. Match the color mood to the room where the fidget will live.
- If you are decorating a shelf or desk: Choose the palette that contrasts with the surface: Spectrum for neutral or wood surfaces, Waterfall for warm or white surfaces, Bubblegum for pastel or light rooms. Check the display surface color before you commit.
HEXEL colorway facts at a glance
- HEXEL® - Spectrum: HEXEL Spectrum uses a full rainbow of vibrant colors across six oversized Plus-Plus pieces on a flexible elastic cord. The broad palette makes it the most colorful option for display and the easiest to match to mixed-color rooms or gifts.
HEXEL® - Spectrum - HEXEL® - Waterfall: HEXEL Waterfall pairs white, pastel blue, turquoise, sea blue, blue and dark blue in one blue-focused palette. The coordinated blues create a calmer look, which suits quiet desks and wind-down routines better than a rainbow.
HEXEL® - Waterfall - HEXEL® - Bubblegum: HEXEL Bubblegum combines white, pastel yellow, lilac, pastel pink, mint and dusty rose at the lowest catalog price of the three. It is the most affordable way to try HEXEL and the natural fit when you want a soft pastel palette.
